Upper South Creek

PROJECT SUMMARY

An-Co delivered full scaffolding access solutions for the construction and installation of the Upper South Creek Water Treatment Plant for John Holland. The scope included modular scaffold across the project, stretcher stairs, edge protection, full access to two depilator tanks, confined space access and suspended platforms.

As the project evolved, An-Co's scope expanded with it. Originally engaged for the bioreactor MBR and digester, An-Co took on additional scaffold across the inlet areas, admin buildings, brine tanks and all switch rooms, supporting every trade on site including electrical, pipework, mechanical and maintenance crews throughout both construction and fitout phases.

OVERVIEW

At its peak, the An-Co team comprised more than 10 scaffolders on site. A key feature of the delivery was the design and installation of craneable scaffold systems for areas where no existing access solution existed. Temporary works designs were completed, with structures lifted into place by crane and removed the same way once works were complete. Close coordination across multiple supervisors and trades was maintained throughout both phases of the project.

OUTCOME

An-Co delivered safe and reliable access for John Holland across the full duration of the project with no safety incidents recorded. Early planning, proactive coordination and a strong working relationship with the client were central to the project's success. An-Co remained on site through to the commissioning and testing phase, supporting John Holland through to final handover.
